US 1/Jupiter Federal Bascule Bridge Replacement
Southland Contracting is making progress on the replacement of the US1/Jupiter Federal Bascule Bridge
The replacement bridge will consist of two 11-foot travel lanes in each direction, 8-foot sidewalks and 7-foot bike lanes in both directions.
The new bridge will be a twin double-leaf drawbridge, feature a concrete bridge deck to reduce traffic noise, a new tender house and pedestrian overlooks.
The first of the two spans is anticipated to open in early 2025 with the second span opening in the Spring of 2025.
